Incorporated in 1989 by members of The Connection Inc.'s Board of Directors, The Connection Fund was created to develop affordable housing and community facilities. The Connection was growing and starting service programs across the state, and it became clear that more attention needed to be paid to the actual facilities. The Connection Fund was created to be "the brick and mortar" of The Connection.

In 1996 The Connection Fund developed Connecticut's first supportive housing project, Liberty Commons, in Middletown. This involved the rehabilitation of a formerly notorious single-room occupancy hotel into high quality housing with case management services for chronically homeless and/or disabled individuals, as well as allowing the agency to buy some of the buildings and facilities in which our programs are located. The Connection Fund has proved to be integral in the state and national campaigns to end homelessness.

The philosophy of The Connection Fund is simple: we strive to create homes and facilities for our clients that are of a standard the we would expect for anyone in our family.

This website provides an overview of just some of The Connection Fund's activities, past and present.

The Connection Fund is an IRS-designated tax exempt 501 c 3 Connecticut non-stock corporation that develops, purchases, renovates and operates supportive and affordable housing. The Connection Fund also provides The Connection with needed facilities, property and equipment.
